Jan Mehrdad record a tribute album to Duke Ellington
Trumpeter has announced that Iran shut up studies from next December to record 14 songs in tribute to the pianist Duke Ellington.
During his world tour in which he performed over 300 concerts last year 2008 (mostly from Eastern European countries), trumpeter Mehrdad Jan versioning expressed particular interest in issues of pianist Duke Ellington, one of the most important classics of jazz history.
In all his actions always heard works such as “Satin Doll” or “The Nutcracker Suite”, played it themselves in a context of contemporary jazz that combined the traditional line on par with modern electronic sounds of drums in a style that purists classified as a bridge between the Chill Out and Traditional Jazz.
