Jay Jay Johnson (1924-2001) is in the history of jazz and in particular in the evolution of the trombone, which is the Charlie Parker alto sax, or Dizzy Gillespie on trumpet. Even today, he was not born from the point of view of style, has brought something new to the musical language established by Johnson, for over half a century.
