Bing Crosby was born in the plush surroundings of the light music of Tin Pan
Alley and the commercial bands of the moment. He became the first Cronn history
after learning of singers like Gene Austin, Rudy Vallee and Russ Columbo a
series of "whisperers" named for his singing quietly and effortlessly. Crosby
always acknowledged his debt of gratitude to the general jazz and Louis
Armstrong in particular. Paul Whiteman’s orchestra, offered a suitable context
to develop their talents and late twenties underwent a period of sincere romance
with jazz until in 1929 decided to launch his solo career.

In the thirties and as a freelance artist, becomes a figure of the radio and it
allows you to record in 1932 with the Duke Ellington Orchestra the theme:
"St.Louis Blues" does not cover the expectations created. However abound jobs
well done with Isham Jones, with the Mills Brothers or even the Dorsey brothers.
Quality is much treasured by Bing Crosby, and so the ease of "scat" which are
not exactly a jazz singer, puts his art to the forefront of that time with his
hero and mentor, Louis Armstrong. Signed a contract with The Decca in the
mid-thirties and it is an obstacle to the development of his jazz side. The film
knocks at their door and in the LP era, Crosby continued his impeccable voice
putting in all kinds of projects being the most notable of them all, the album
recorded for Verve in 1956 entitled: "While Bregman Swings Bing Sings." Themes
are first rate and Bregman’s arrangements are an example of functionality and
simplicity but often reminded of Frank Sinatra records for Capitol. Bing Crosby
retired from the stage and life art, died in Madrid on October 14, 1977 at his
home in the Moral where he established his residence.
