Born in Badalona, Santi Galán pianist, studied music at the Conservatory of Barcelona, Santa Coloma de Gramanet and Badalona, where he studied music theory, harmony, choral singing ... and piano teachers as Porter Ramon. With Professor Lluis Verges conducted surveys of modern harmony, arranged for orchestra and big band, and counterpoint. He has also attended courses with teachers as Lluís Vidal, J. Amargós Albert, Michel Camilo, Chick Corea, Maria Schneider, etc ... At the same time, a degree in Biology from the University of Barcelona and Higher Grade of compositions and arrangements in modern music by INCANOP.

His work is developed in the field of musical performance, composition and teaching. In the world of education

has worked in various private schools in the Autonomous University of Barcelona and as a tutor and currently teaches arranging, harmony, computer music, musical language and piano at the Workshop Músics of Barcelona, where he is also the Head of Studies.

In the field of musical practice, over many years has experimented with formations of countless styles, from blues, Brazil, Africa, gospel, jazz, theater, traditional, Mediterranean, Fado, etc. as a Custom Blend, Vradiaki, Lo power of song, Txika & Marrabenta, Avenida Brasil, Camalics, Xarop of Canya, Nevo, and many others. After the experience of SG Trio, Santi Galán now presents the new work Crossing II, with the quartet SG 4, which continues to work with new code itself.
