Joaquin was born in Cordoba, and is pure blood gitano.
At twelve years went to study in Madrid in order to learn to dance. He entered to be part of the Spanish National Ballet and at the age of fifteen years had already become the first dancer. Thus began to go on tour worldwide performing well at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City, and the Kremlin’s Congress Palace in Moscow. After he left the National Ballet and joined a gala consists of great artists including Maya Plisetskaya, Silvie Guillen, Pere Schauffus, Marie-Claude Pietragalla and Julio Bocca.
He worked with various companies both as a dancer but also as a choreographer. Among its successes are to remember her choreography for Carmen at the Arena di Verona, his participation in the Summer Flamenco Festival in Tokyo, its performances at New York Lincohn Center and its participation in “Don Quixote” in Caracas Ballet.
The great director Pedro Almodóvar was very impressed by him and wanted the cast of his film “Flor de mi Secreto.”
He is currently engaged in a worldwide tour (it was a short time ago here in Italy) which is the absolute protagonist.
The original music of his show were composed by Jesus Bola, Diego Carrasco and Juan Parrilla, while the costumes were designed by Giorgio Armani (its largest and most staunch fun!).
It is still certainly a worldwide success.
