JJ Cale: Roll On

JJ CaleIs it country? Is it rock? Is it jazz? Rockabilly? It is not possible to categorize: it is JJ Cale and it is good. It is about the 70-year-old veteran, who once released an album - and it sounds time-resolved, which it was created in the rock childhood, but it is still a time typical disc because of the wonderful mix of genres that plays up.  JJ Cale is a low-key singer, relaxed and gives a prestigious loose, relaxed impression, and he must be one of the top guitarists on the acoustic guitar. The disc is his sixteenth album, and some rolls on in the style that is his own, but not routine. The mix

of blues, jazz, country, rockabilly and countryrock that leads me to swing in line when I hear the iPod on the commuter train, it is an example of how music today frequently, often mixing of many different genres. Despite its sense of tidslös classics is a disc of today. I see that the other reviews I found are also positive. Nils Hansson on DN that gave grades 4 think "Strange Days" is the best track, I myself have most stuck to the peaceful soft sad ballad "Leaving in the morning." The album has a whole that is intelligent, but the songs between them has its own character, some jazz, some blues, some rock ... Roll On is Cales first solo album since 2004 To Tulsa and Back, and consist of 12 new songs, including the hitherto unreleased title song recorded with Eric Clapton - a continuation of the unprecedented success the two had together with the 2006 The Road to Escondido, which also rendered Cale his first Grammy. JJ Cale's real name is John Weldon Cale and was born in Oklahoma City. In addition to recording your own songs, he has dealt with music in every possible way in over fifty years, as a guitarist, singer, songwriter, producers and technicians.
