Igmar ALDERETE
Composer, violinist, classical / jazz and arranger. Igmar Alderete was born in Havana, Cuba in 1969. He began his musical studies in violin at the Conservatorio Elemental de Música Manuel Saumell of the same city with the Russian teacher, Alla Taran, continued in the Alejandro Garcia Caturla Conservatory and the Conservatory was completed in the secondary levels Amadeo Roldan, under the tutelage Teacher Emilio Estrada. He was part of the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba, as Concertino (alternate), arranging it with the Orchestra of Opera and Ballet Gran Teatro García Lorca in the city of Havana. He was first violin of the Orchestra America, thanks to the guidance of Carlos Averoff (former member of the famousIrakere) was introduced into the world of jazz.
In 1992, after a tour of Spain, who conducted the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba, settled in Almeria, continuing his musical career in our country, working with the Symphony Orchestra of Granada. In the same year he moved to Murcia, where he joined the Symphony Orchestra of Murcia. In 1994, it becomes part of the Cordoba Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Leo Brouwer, which is currently a member. He has participated in recordings with Pablo Milanes, Quisco López, Vicente Amigo and so on., and most recently has participated in concerts with soloists of the Covent Garden where she stars with Vasko Vassilev, Anton Kholodenko, Andriy Viytovich and Christopher Vanderspar, the XXIV International Week Chamber Music of Montserrat (Valencia).
Among the compositions are from trios for violin, horn and piano, string quartets, string quintets, woodwind and metal, sextets, nonet to concerts as "Concert No. 1 for Marimba and Orchestra" (which has been recorded by the Orchestra Cordoba and the scores produced by the Documentation Center of Music of Andalusia), "Concerto for Clarinet No. 1" and "Trumpet Concerto" among others. And in jazz compositions have also performed as "The Dance of the Brunettes," "Mirrors of the South" or "Surprise on Seventh Avenue. In 2007, he founded the Jazz group "Collage of Colors" with performances like the Jazz Festival of Estepona.
