THE MUSIC AND DANCE: SWING
Dance of American origin. The roots of this catchy rhythm can be found in the “big bands” American of the late 30s and early 40. At that time, the most famous dance orchestras, such as those of Benny Goodman or Glenn Miller, were as popular as a pop singer as can be today, and his records sounded on the radio constantly and was sold as an “avid donuts of fun and entertainment.
These bands, looking for a different interpretation of jazz to make it more danceable, eventually leading to a sound based on the absolute supremacy of the wind section of the orchestra terribly catchy and with a vibration feature they called “swing” that ended up giving its name to the music and dance.
