
The tenor saxophonist, flutist and soprano, Victor Cuica, began his studies
at the Military Music School of La Victoria in 1963. His performances in the
Venezuelan navy band had its first close to Jazz and decided to study flute,

The excellent bassist Curtis Counce, got his first professional contract in
1941 with Nat Towles, with whom he would work until December 1944. After taking
up residence in Los Angeles, studied composition and arrangement with Murphy and
Lyle worked for four years in the group’s pianist Edgar Hayes. He continued his
solo career with size as the alto saxophonist Benny Carter, tenor sax, Wardel
Gray, in the orchestra of the singer Billy Eckstine and also accompanied the

Mexican drummer, Tino Contreras, is in his country and the world of Latin
jazz a true legend. Creator and composer, five decades in Mexico is renowned
worldwide. He has recorded over 40 albums in Argentina, Spain, France, Germany,
and of course, Mexico. In the forties as his first band "The cadets of the
