The Jive

z6.jpegJive – is the least known of the ball 10 to form a program of racing. Of Latin origin, is confused over and over again with Rock & Roll, even by those who are already inside the world of ballroom dance. And is that Jive is a combination of the rhythms with other rhythms which led to the popular Rock.

Therefore, a Jive “sounds” a lot to Rock (It’s also true that the labels, with their mixtures, have not done anything but create further confusion). The Jive is a fast dance with a lively and dynamic character (but not to the “festival” of samba). The main feeling that transmits a pair of dancing Jive agility, since even without acrobatic elements, the figures of the Jive are a real show of skill and balance.

Charles Mingus

zm3.jpgCharles Mingus was an American jazz bassist, composer, conductor, and an occasional pianist. He was also known as an activist against racial injustice.

Born April 22, 1922 in Nogales, Arizona, but grew up in the Watts area in Los Angeles, California. His family background was Swedish and African Americans by their paternal grandparents, Chinese and British nationalities, and from his maternal grandparents. Despite this, he grew up in a strict family and discriminatory.

His mother died just six months after birth due to a chronic myocarditis, with Mingus Hospital by a half and allowed only Amerindian music related to the church at home, so Charles had his first contacts with music The Church of Holiness Church in Watts. Ennio Morricone

ab.jpgEnnio Morricone (Rome, Italy, November 10, 1928 -), Italian composer of music.

Small college buddy was Sergio Leone with whom later collaborated on almost all their films until his death. After college, he entered the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome where he studied trumpet and composition. The Paso Doble

The Cha-Cha-Cha

The Samba

The Viennese Waltz

The English Waltz(Slow Waltz)
