One of the new stars of the trumpet of the 90, Nicholas Payton combines references to its heritage of New Orleans with the hard bop and musicality of the Young Lions. Payton, was born in New Orleans in 1973, and grew up in Treme, in the vicinity of Armstrong Park, he began to 4 years in a miniature trumpet presented by the father, the bassist Walter Payton.

Coleman Hawkins Randolph (November 21, 1904 – May 19, 1969), called “Hawk” and sometimes “Bean”, was a prominent jazz saxophonist content. The Cuban musician Israel “Cachao” Lopez died today – 22-03-2008 – in a hospital in Miami because of a kidney problem, informed the newspaper “El Nuevo Herald” in its digital edition.
